The Problem for Newly Qualified Drivers
Newly qualified drivers are much more vulnerable than they realise. Statistics show that drivers are more likely to have an accident within their first two years of driving than at any other time in their driving career.
For example:-
- Two people under 25 die every day in road accidents in Great Britain.
- In their first year of driving, one driver in five is involved in a road accident.
It’s not just about age – newly qualified drivers are a higher risk no matter what their age.
You can become safer by driving more miles and gaining experience.
The Solution
Pass Plus offers newly qualified drivers professional instruction, helping them to:-
- Gain quality driving experience safely.
- Become a more skilful driver.
- Develop a positive driving style which is both enjoyable and safe.
- Reduce the risk of being involved in an accident.
What it is
Pass Plus is a six module syllabus. The modules will not all take the same length of time to complete, and the complete syllabus must be a minimum of six hours training, although more time may be needed, depending on learning ability.
- Module 1 - An introduction to Pass plus and Town Driving.
- Module 2 - All weather driving.
- Module 3 - Driving out of town and rural roads.
- Module 4 - Night driving.
- Module 5 - Dual carriageways.
- Module 6 - Motorways.
There is no test to take; an ongoing assessment by the instructor will determine whether the required level has been achieved.
Drivers who successfully complete the syllabus will be offered a discount on their car insurance premiums by participating insurance companies.
